'I have been a student of The Poetry School for about six years. Throughout my life I have been taught by many good teachers, have been a colleague to many good teachers and have aspired to be a good teacher myself. Mimi is a truly great teacher. She is warm, humorous, generous, exacting. She has appreciated my work and spurred me on to make it better. She has widened my knowledge and understanding of poetry and what it is to be a poet. She continues to inspire and surprise me.’ – Kate Ling
